Project 5K is hosting Project Paws, a new initiative that is dedicated to encouraging care and improving socialization with dogs!

We will be partnering with an animal rescue to run this event, organizing tours of the rescue where you can meet the animals as well as a tour of a farm!

In Collaboration with Dog Tales


Project 5K is excited to partner with Dog Tales Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, a world-renowned animal rescue,  for an in-person rescue visit and farm tour!

Volunteers will get an opportunity to earn additional volunteer hours while interacting with dogs and learning more about the rescue.

Further details of the visit will be provided through email to registered volunteers.

Event spots are limited.

How to Donate

Want to help, but not sure what items you can donate?

Here's a list of potential donation items to give you some ideas:

Keep in mind that all donations must be unopened and food items must not contain food dye. Examples include: 

  • XL Kongs

  • Large & Giant Nylabones

  • Large Push & Play Jollyball

  • Teaser Jollyball

  • Liver treats

  • Sweet potato treats

  • Dehydrated chicken treats

  • Freeze-dried chicken treats

  • Large & XL Kuranda vinyl beds

  • New blankets or comforters

  • Large pee pads

  • Slip leashes


All donors who bring their donations at the time of the event will receive volunteer hours, in which each item donated is equivalent to 30 minutes. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding donations!

A meet-and-greet with the dogs where volunteers can play games with dogs, improving their socialisation

How It Works

  1. Register for Project Paws at Further instructions will be provided to registered volunteers through email

  2. Ask around your community, and peers for donations. Gather donations from your own home as well! 

  3. Meet us in-person at Dog Tales Rescue & Sanctuary with your donations and to confirm your attendance. We can't wait to see everyone there! 

  4. Choose whichever activities you would like to participate in! Keep in mind that some of the activities are time-sensitive: farm tour begins at 12:30 PM; kennel tours end at 2:00 PM

  5. After the event, please fill out our Project Paws feedback form: ​​
